Note - the Harvest seed starting system is ONLY for current Harvest and Harvest Elite models. If you have an older Harvest model, it won't fit properly. Check the reviews on aerogarden.com and elsewhere. Some of the Harvest models it doesn't fit include the Harvest Elite Slim, Harvest 360 (well, duh.), Harvest Classic (originally just Harvest), and others (Harvest Touch?)

Egg carton, free dirt from outside and $2 seeds will do same thing.
I have tried every method for seed starting. Egg cartons with cling wrap over it. Highly rated seed trays with self watering systems. Peat pots. Heat mats. Various glow lights. Hundreds in seeds. Great soil. No real success. Maybe have had 10 plants make it to bear fruit. Found aerogarden on clearance last summer. And seeds just exploded. Starters are doing so well it's actually giving me issues because my raised beds aren't ready yet and I'm a few weeks out from last frost while starting super late. And it was incredibly easy.

Very interesting, I will have to check this thing.
Do you do anything additional for your raised garden like do you aerate it or add new soil, etc?
I just looked at the deal to see what it was. And I saw, "Usually ships within 1 to 2 months". With customer support like that, I don't care what it is.
Check out your local library, many have seeds you can have. It is great for planting lots of different plants and for trying something to grow you aren't sure about. I think it is a slick deal not much risk, lots of upside.

I use this in the early season to get plants ready to transfer to my greenhouse.
