Compared to the $1229 front page deal for the HP Envy at Amazon, this has:
64GB of ram vs 16GB
i7-12700K vs i9-12900
extra 1TB hardrive
The CPU speeds would be very similar [cpubenchmark.net] if the cooling and power are the standard limits. The i7 is a K version so its standard limit is 125W which is higher than the i9 non-K at 65w.
Looks like you can add a 120mm fan for better cooling according to HP [hp.com]. That link also shows that the Omen 25L case is similar to the Envy but has a glass side.

My point is that they cheaped out on the HDD when instead they coudl have just given ya 2TB SDD
They're saving probably $10 here and using a slow HDD
I mean don't get me wrong, this is still a good system and the HDD will work fine I'm sure but its just cheap to do that.

The difference is, the Dell i9 is NOT a "K" (202W max), so no overclocking, and it's air-cooled, not liquid cooled so the 120mm AIO you reference is not applicable.
On the other hand, this HP *is* a "K" version (190W max). Anyone know what type of cooler this unit has, because I've yet to see a picture of the inside or a description in tech specs for the cooler?
EDIT: some searching shows this "K" version is air-cooled out a tiny fan in the back.
