Been using it for 7 months now and happy with the Onkyo. Actually tested the Yamaha TSR700 and Denon S760H too, but this sounded best of all.

Do a search for an adapter on eBay. I.e. Bose Surround Lifestyle Jewel Cube Speaker AC-2 Bare Wire Adapter Connector. Not sure if that's the same speakers you are talking about.
Same speakers. I was able to connect it to the receiver but they sound horrible. Not sure why.

tried both 6050 and denon's 760. The earc on onkyo will occasionally stop working, and will require full on reset in order to fix it. Despite the sound quality is better on Onkoy, I returend this to costco and got the denon 760. I will choose the stability over the sound quality at this point.

Will Costco match it with in store price?
Yes. Just buy it first in store then go to CS counter to ask for a refund for the difference.

So this or wait for the Costco denon to go on sale? Judging from the comment on this or the denon it sounds like I should buy an avr from Costco with the lemons and ease of return.

I got this receiver from this seller on eBay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/144358506094

They have it for $100 less than this deal. It looked brand new and works great. I run it with seven speakers plus sub. I was especially happy that the gaming is lag free (my older Onkyo definitely was not). It also has that "vocal " tone control someone was talking about.

What do you mean earc stop working? Why do you even need earc to work with a receiver? I have my receiver hooked up with earc port, but I noticed no difference when receiver hooked up with non-earc port.

The Onkyo ARC on my Onkyo doesn't play nice with my Lg tv. Not sure whose fault it is but I get audio dropout from time to time, and when I adjust volume. I don't have this model though so they could've fixed it.

It drives me crazy how much manufacturers want us to spend to get preouts. Spending $2k on a pre/pro or $800 on a receiver with preouts is messed up. I should be able to get a somewhat budget receiver with the latest HDR support and 4k, with preouts.

Seriously, 10-15 years ago normal 7.1 DTS/TrueHD receivers all had preouts and I picked up a couple in the $300-400 range.

Due to space/wiring concerns two of my systems are now soundbar based and my last full speaker system I'm still running an ancient Harman Kardon AVR because nobody has built a reliable HDMI 2.1/4k120hz receiver *without* preouts

Correct, preout is considered obsolete, it used to be on low and middle end model. Now it seems precut is making a comeback.

I bought both the Denon and this Onkyo at Costco and I don't know if it is the way the Onkyo calibrates to the room is better or if it's just the extra power the Onkyo has, but the Onkyo sounds substantially better then the Denon, in my opinion. I really like the All Chanel Stereo mode on the Onkyo for watching You Tube videos and concerts. The sound is still coming primarily from the front and it uses the sub but it turns on the rear and ceiling speakers just enough that you are immersed in the perfect surround of music, live concerts sound awesome. My only complaint is when you turn the volume up more then 4 clicks at a time it looses video signal and causes my projector to blue screen for for about 20 seconds.

Definitely not calibration, aq eq is prone to mistakes. You can entirely skip onkyo auto calibration.

So far, I don't like the remote, doesn't show sound output signal( need to toggle info button), doesn't have the old dynamic sound options to give more body to male vocals, but it's definitely has better clarity and removes that ssss.. from female vocals sound from my rp klipsh that I hear on ht360. Seems like I have to turn up subwoofer output. Right now I'm not sure if it's a winner. Going to hook my old one back up and listen for a few days and turn off dynamic for a better comparison.

Onkyo surround and sub are way off, need to level up significantly
