Yea this is a set . Not normally 899 like it says but very good deal for what it is especially considering the free shipping. I ordered these during COVID lockdown but not as a set.

You typically want to pay $1/lb for iron plates. For bumper plates, the sky is the limit. BalanceForm/Everyday Essentials is the only option if you want a deal. The challenge is these are almost never in stock.

You can get maybe get black plates for a around $1.2-2/lb when there's a deal. However, if you color-coded and with a steel hub, I think you'll typically pay ~$3/lb. Especially, from a good brand.

That all being said, you get what you pay for over here. If you check out the reviews on YouTube you'll find people complaining that the plates look dinged up when you get them. My view is if you're dropping them as part of your workouts, any plates will pick up dings real fast. Hence, these are great for training, especially if you're not lifting super big.

Price per pound for these color coded ones, this an absolute deal if you are looking for bumper plates. Are they the best? Absolutely not. But they work and will probably be the only plates you'll need if you don't see yourself lifting beyond 370lbs.

Note that you likely will receive some of the plates at different times.

I have the 25lb and 45lb plates of this set in black. I also have 35lb bumpers by Cap and then iron 10s, 5s, and 2.5s. I opted for iron for the lower weights because under 25 (or 15?), the BalanceFrom bumpers start to get flimsy. That's fine if you don't rest them by themselves on the floor, but that's the whole point of having bumpers. So far so good for the 25s and 45s, although I can see what I think is a little bit of rust on the inner ring that I don't see with the Cap 35s. Maybe it's from my bar? I will say that all of my Cap stuff has been very good quality and is often pretty cheap. I'd keep an eye out for it.

Is the diameter thick? Not exactly sure what your asking but 2in is standard size for olympic bar sleeve ~1.96

You're right. What confused me is a "standard" weight ring size is 1" but the typical weights we see are olympic which is 2". Thanks.

They were just in stock a moment ago. Was about to post a new deal and they went out of stock. Just keep checking. Also, 210lbs and 260lbs sets are ones to watch as well.
