Of course, the hardware cloth and staples that I use are galvanized, and most galvanization processes incorporate trace amounts of lead, so there's that.
Finally, it's worth mentioning that in 2004 the use of heavy metals and arsenic in treated lumber was banned in the USA, and treated wood has been studied to death for any sign of harmful leaching, with no indication that it might be dangerous. Exceptions are telephone poles, actual railroad ties, and lumber used in aquatic construction. The moral of the story is that you should avoid and/or get rid of any of those items and any pre-2004 treated lumber, and safely replace it with modern treated lumber, cedar, black locust, etc.
