Why do you need it when you can get a corner tile and 2x6 wood?

Treated lumber will not last in a garden bed. Mine rotted straight through within a couple years.

This is a good reason to go for the quality ones that are powder-coat painted if you buy metal beds. I'm a fan of the ones from Vegega.com, which are made from zinc-aluminum-magnesium stainless steel. I found out about them through a nearby master gardener whom I trust (he's on YouTube as @TheRustedGarden — his Vegega promo code is TRG for 10% off non-sale items). I receive no kickbacks for any of this, nor am I even personally acquainted with this gardener.

Of course, the hardware cloth and staples that I use are galvanized, and most galvanization processes incorporate trace amounts of lead, so there's that.

Finally, it's worth mentioning that in 2004 the use of heavy metals and arsenic in treated lumber was banned in the USA, and treated wood has been studied to death for any sign of harmful leaching, with no indication that it might be dangerous. Exceptions are telephone poles, actual railroad ties, and lumber used in aquatic construction. The moral of the story is that you should avoid and/or get rid of any of those items and any pre-2004 treated lumber, and safely replace it with modern treated lumber, cedar, black locust, etc.

I'm an organic gardener. I prefer to use natural products. Even though there is only a small amount of lead in zinc coatings, why take the chance when there are better alternatives. Yes, cedar costs more but also looks a hell of a lot better than metal, even painted metal from Vegega.com. But that's just me. I've never used treated lumber in my gardening.
Cadmium and arsenic are natural.

Did you use ground contact rated, copper azole treated?
