I'm just trying to help, and I don't know your exact situation, but here is some info that might be helpful:

Its possible to use international eSIM services like Airalo, which I've found to be inexpensive and reliable for international travel.

Depending on your needs, you can use Airalo in the 2nd eSIM slot of your iPhone. Then If you set your iPhone to only use data from that 2nd eSIM, you can get incoming calls on your primary US number, using the data stream from the 2nd eSIM for the call.

This setup will actually be WiFi calling, not airtime calling. On some US phone plans, this won't trigger international call charges.

Again, I don't know your exact situation, but there could be some possibilities for you with this route. Anyhow, I hope this helps someone out there who only has a dual eSIM phone…

Again, just trying to help…

EDIT:
If you want to know exactly how to do this, let me know and I'll post it a bit later once I'm at my computer where I have that exact "how to" info saved…

1 - Turn ON wifi calling on SIM1
2 - Turn OFF data roaming on SIM1
3 - Set SIM1 as your primary voice
4 - Set SIM2 as your primary data source
5 - Disable the cellular switching

Whenever not on wifi, this setup will piggy back off SIM2 cellular connection as WiFi calling. This also works on iPhone 13 Pro Max using physical / eSIMs

Apple Support mentions DUAL SIM usage here:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209044

Scroll down to "Learn about Dual SIM status icons"

I hope this help!

Mint 100% supports eSIM. I've been using a 14 on Mint since release.

Seconding Airalo. I went to Aruba about a year ago. Purchased the e-sim at the airport waiting for my flight in Atlanta. Loaded it up. Touched down in Aruba. E-sim worked immediately throughout the trip. Had phone and data all week for like $10.

Same. I go to Spain for a couple of months every summer and use a local sim. They're pretty strict over there about cellular and generally esim is only offered to contracts. Guess I'll be stuck on iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Very strange because Vodafone supports prepaid esim all over Europe.

Just the US model is esim only.

Used to work in the past, probably still does. Did this once when BB offered free Applecare+ with iPad purchases.

Its only US where Apple launched iPhone 14 series without a SIM tray. Rest of the world, 14 series iPhones come with a physical SIM card option and then an eSIM.

I mean, you can get 5gb for 30 days in Slovenia for $15 with Airalo without SMS or voice or 500gb for 30 days for $15 with a local SIM card with unlimited sms and voice. It's not even a comparison.

How long is the applecare+ valid for? Is it 1 year, 2 years or 3 years? Apparently, that info is not present in the costco website.

2 years ($199 value). Would be interesting to see if anyone got a refund on that partial or otherwise.

I also need physical sim for international travel and some countries still don't support esim. I hope 15 will go back to dual esim and sim card
I'm not supporting the removal of a SIM card but have you looked into the apps that give you esim support in any countr?? I use airelo and it's cheap, easy. I'll never go back.

Got one, thanks. My Citi card comes with a 2-year extended warranty. Apple may be able to refund the $199 AppleCare in the bundle if you don't need it.
