Ive got the X1, which seemed cheap at $400 at the time (2020). Crazy to see how cheap theyve become! The X1 is excellent by the way, but be aware its BIG. You need to have a dedicated spot to put something like this.

Is Geekbuying.com even a reputable website? Lots of bad reviews. Also, you can't even use that coupon code unless you have an account setup with them, so no checking out as a guest.

Yeah it is... been around for a long time. Check the whois database for when their domain was created. Good first step in checking legitimacy. Obviously use a CC or PP for purchase protection for good measure

I just bought the X2 from Geek buying exactly one month ago for $280, and even that price seemed a steal to me. The experience with Geek buying was uneventful, I received the printer 1 week after purchase.
The experience with the printer itself: really great. It's a big boy and needed a good calibration but its printing beautifully.
For $240 I think it's a great deal if you're looking for a big 3d printer.

I dunno, for a few more dollars I bought this one instead. Seemed legit. But I'm just some guy, maybe it was a mistake.

It a new name in 3D printing, the one you got.

Artillery has been around a bit longer: hence the x1.

Which Creality 3D printer does this compare to?

Thanks OP!!
At this build size / volume @ $240.00 is definitely a slick deal. If you want a smaller size and cost take a look at :

I have both of these. The Hydra isn't great as a 3D printer out of the box, but the hot swappable laser engraver is relatively convenient. The Hydra has cooling issues and needs a modified fan duct to print decent quality. Once I installed a better fan duct, print quality is much better. The Artillery in OP is a MUCH larger printer, so it's a no brainier if you want to print helmets, etc. It also has better print quality out of the box and a much larger community if you need help. I'd warn anyone thinking about the Hydra that you need to build/buy an enclosure to safely use the laser engraver without wearing laser safety googles in the room. Simply being in the same room while engraving without quality laser safety googles will severely damage your eyes. Even if you don't look at the laser, the invisible laser reflects all over the room while not in a laser enclosure and WILL damage your eyes.

How fast does this print? Any chance the firmware can be upgraded to Klipper? Or the driver board is pretty closed source?

If this is the same printer. It looks like an STM32 and can get to DFU mode.

I brought this on black friday week for around this price. Just fyi you can still get support from Artillery website itself if you are worried about geekbuying. Artillery sent me a new BL touch when mine wasn't working

I'm seeing the words 'quality control' way to often in the Amazon reviews to buy this from some seller without an address. Paypal protection or not. I want to print projects, not have a printer as the project. 20% of the reviews are three star or lower. If Amazon was the seller/shipper at this price, I might try it.

That's the Genius model, different printer but a FREAKING STEAL at $115.
I have the Genius and I have no hesitation recommending it, great printer.
