Fortunately, the description also says 201 ml and the 1st and 4th pictures show 6.8 oz. So, you'll only get a 1/10 as drunk.

That said, I can't imagine paying $29.96 for the set nor the (alleged) original price of $99.99. The Macy's reviews (most of which are promotional) are not really convincing.
the glencairn glasses are about $20 for a set of two. so i guess if you need 3 and a pretty stand
In doing price research I found a similar design that matches my bar better, sold oddly enough by JosABank (great, now I will get plastered with suit ads). After shipping, the items are similar in price.

The link is dumb long: https://www.josbank.com/p/hammer-and-axe-whiskey-barrel-tasting-flight-clearance?medium=TSA&CAWELAID... [josbank.com]

Reluctant to post the link to the bar, last time all you SD'ers clicked and then immediately clicked out, hurting my search ranking (and feelings). Click if you want to learn more: https://thecraftycatsman.com/diy-...rcade-bar/

What are the odds that these are real Glencairn brand glasses?

These aren't glencairn glasses.. but you do get a set of 6 genuine glencairn glasses for around $35 at Walmart and Amazon.. I've bought them for $29.99 in the past, but costs have gone up.. best whisky glasses.. I wouldn't mind paying $5 or maybe $10 for the stand.. but $30 is way too high for a knockoffs

They're not. It would definitely be advertised! I'm sure quality is similar, but personally I'd say $30 for the set is still good. $100 MSRP is insane, maybe $50 MSRP is realistic.

Once you go Norlan you never go back. Mainly because of the wider opening for nose.

Glencairns tulip shape tends to concentrate the ethanol rather than smelling the variations from the whiskey. Just my 2 cents. Even a rocks glass would allow for a better tasting experience (nose, pallet, finish) and most bartenders I speak with agree.

You can just use it for extra bar rags - nothing beats the absorbency of a Jos A. Banks!

I have Norlan glasses (from the original kickstarter a long time ago) as well as Glencairn glasses and don't really have a problem with either. The benefits of the Norlan glasses are either highly user preference (read: bias) or a bit of hyperbole. That goes the same for the supporters of the glencairn glass as well. The only thing I can say is that I prefer either glass over a rocks glass for neat pour tastings. I cannot drink whisky at a bar if they don't have one of the aforementioned glasses.

To the comment on nosing, maybe there's a small benefit to the Norlan, but a proper nosing also includes drawing in air from the mouth as well, so there shouldn't be an issue with the glencairn unless you're doing it wrong.

Flight set? Is this something that airline pilots install in the cockpits?
