I have the same laptop with an 11th-gen i7 processor. Love the portability, screen, and general performance. Downsides are that the webcam sucks (almost unusable for Zoom meetings) and that the USB-C ports are not reliable when trying to use external monitors/docks.

Tempted to get this with the upgraded USB-C ports to see if that issue is resolved.

This is the 2022 version which has the HD front camera for face recognition unlock and web conferencing. I think it's a good price, especially for one that has the 12th gen chip, ultra light 16 inch 2 in 1 laptop and face recognition unlock feature.

I went ahead and bought it after doing some reseach.
I plan to spend another $55 so that I have 2 years warranty that includes defects and it also covers drops, spills, and cracked screens from normal use.

wow. u need two LG Gram ? lol
btw, Do u think you will like your LG Gram 16 2 in 1 better than Lenovo Yoga 7i 16 ' 2 in 1? I was torn between the 2 choices eg
- lighter LG Gram 16 ( 3 lbs) vs Yoga (4.5lbs)
- thinner LG Gram vs Yoga
- brighter screen Yoga (400 nits) vs LG Gram (300 nits)
- more ports in Yoga vs LG Gram
- front facing speakers in Yoga vs back in LG Gram
- better and sturdier build Yoga vs LG Gram

Let me know what u think.

If that happens within the 2 years of owning it....I will just return it and get my money back if they can't fix it.

they have portable electronics and laptop category for protection.
Isn't this purchase supposed to be in laptop category?
the insurance cost is more with their laptop plan...

The link to purchase the Asurion warranty is provided directly by the woot.com website (at the bottom of the LG Gram 16 laptop sales page).
The Asurion warranty covers laptop also.
it also covers drop, spill, and screen cracks from accidental incidents.
Here are more details.

Thanks.

Looks like you're linking to the portable electronics Asurion plan. For laptops, it's $80, not $55:

Thank you for sharing the correct link.

I had the 17 inch model of this laptop and the Trackpad seemed way off. the cursor would always stop before getting to a certain spot in the URL address box where i needed to correct a URL or when minimize/maximize/closing a screen. It would also just lose track of my finger for a second intermittently at times? Hopefully it was just a defective trackpad, that was my only gripe.

Does anyone have a thought on how this compares to the 14" version from Costco? I picked that up and it seems like the processor hits 90 degrees very quickly; some people report that causes throttling (though I'm not sure it's affected my use). I'm interested in the larger screen primarily. For the most part I have my laptop docked at all times and use three external monitors; I don't even use the laptop screen. I think the pen is neat but I don't think I'd use it much (if at all).

Fwiw, I did a LOT of research on the LG Gram 17 2022 i7-1260p, & ultimately decided against it. Apparently, it uses the exact same internals as the 14 & 15.6". Most people report that the cooling is TERRIBLE, so the processor always throttles, confirmed by many reviews and benchmarks. At this price, it may not matter as much, but it's certainly worth considering if you expect this to be a good performer. The RAM is soldered, so it isn't upgradeable. I didn't read anything about this 16" 2-n-1 having the same internals, so it *may* not have this issue with overheating.
