I ordered 3 ecards and 3 physical cards earlier today, they cancelled 1 of the 3 ecards saying I exceeded limits. I tried to reorder and they cancelled that order as well, I remember in the past it would not let you order if you were over the limit. Anyone else get that?

A decade ago, I loved Airbnb.

These days, it's so much cheaper to stay in a nice lakefront hotel than a similar offering from a rental, and everything is taken care of. No list of rules. No cleaning. No unlit slick, Steve meta staircases. No mouse shit on the bed. And again, cheaper.

They had a good concept, but it got too big for its own good and now greedy property owners are making it too much of a gamble.

Just bought three cards at the store. For the third card the best buy associate rang it up but did not use my phone number. Got the $600 airbnb gift cards, $90 of best buy card, and $12 on my Apple credit card via Apple pay. Pretty good deal.

I will probably buy some electronics in the future where I can price match with Amazon.

I just successfully bought 3 using the same account and BB credit card. Have received all gift cards, plus will get another $30 back in rewards, so $120 in total back on $600 in a purchase that was already scheduled, not bad!

Timing was quite perfect actually, as I have an upcoming trip with final payment due Wednesday. Thanks OP!

You and I until lately probably also didn't know that when you complain to AirBNB, if/when they refund you for horrible stay, the owner can ask to mute your review - meaning that you need to say thank you to get away with your money back, but airbnb will not post your review.
This is true if during escalation owner agreed to pay - if owner refuses to pay and Airbnb does chargeback, then you can leave bad review.
