First - how cow 8K under $1000.
Second - basically everything I stream is at 720p or at most 1080p still Frown Twitch, YouTube TV (or is that 1080 mostly?), YouTube livestreams, etc. It's probably going to be 10 years till we have common 8K streaming (if it ever happens)

LG C2 imo. OLED is amazing. That said I don't think it's currently on sale if you're fine with waiting (it goes on sale often though)

Thanks! I bought it from the buydig eBay deal last week. They ended up sending me the aua instead of pua version and gave me a $200 refund if I'd keep it so got the 55" c2 for around $900. Wanted to make sure I made the right choice.

I just picked up the LG C2 48" at $949 (not the best price it's been) and the contrast on it is amazing. Blacks are absolutely black. Totally worth it IMO.

The 48" is for our spare room and am now waiting for a deal on the 77" to upgrade our living room as I've been very impressed by it.

what's the difference between the AUA and PUA versions? I'm reading PUA has WISA certification whereas the AUA does not - is that what you found as well?

I've seen missed reviews about it. The difference between the A and the P is where it is sold. A is wholesale like Costco and P is consumer like Walmart, best buy etc. I also saw that about the WiSA certification but if you look them both up on lgs website they both say WiSA compatible but need an adaptor so I'm not sure if it's true or not. I have the pua in one bedroom so once I open this one I'm gonna test personally.

This would make a decent 8k computer monitor for the window real estate.

An 8K TV at this point is going to only be for upconverting. Probably the only native 8K content we're going to get anytime soon is from a really beefy gaming PC. I'd be a little bit curious how this is as a computer monitor.

Keep in mind that 4K Netflix bitrate is only a bit higher than DVD bitrate. There have been a lot of advances in compression, but ultimately video quality is going to suffer in the era where everything is streamed. An 8K TV is essentially just another digital post-processing algorithm on your content.

I am going to say that Netflix 4K looks better than standard DVD
Perhaps due to HDR...additionally I am going to say the higher end the TV the bigger difference its probably going to make

If someone could please tell me if this television is better than the Sony 55" Class - X90CK Series - 4K UHD LED LCD TV I purchased on sale earlier in March from Costco for $911, tax and 3-year additional warranty, I would appreciate it. I need a larger television 48" to 55" because my 10 year old Samsung can't stream some online content I've purchased. Thank you for any feedback. I haven't had it set up yet and can cancel my order.

Nice, I got the 55" C2 from BuyDig too, ended up being $820 after they refunded me some money for sending the wrong stand screws. Helluva deal and would 100x recommend any OLED TV over a gimmicky 8K
