Things like speakers could 'buzz' or the picture on the computer monitor can look fuzzy if it switches to to the backup and your power goes out, but it's not the end of the world. IMO you have other things to worry about than listening to your home entertainment system if the power is out.
The sine wave stuff only comes into play when you are on the battery backup power. The sine wave you get while getting power from the wall will be whatever/however clean your power company provides.. which I assume for most people you will not be on the power backup for 99.99% of the time. If you need a UPS, I wouldn't skip out on this just because it isn't a pure sine wave.
From a quick search, this is a good deal as with other APC units they require proprietary batteries, but this one you can use generics to replace the batteries when they go bad in a few years.

ive learned my lesson when it comes to cyberpower though. Recently had a near 3 year old sine wave 1500 give up its ghost and loudly pop and smoke. They replaced it as i was able to show proof of purchase showing it still just a few days within the 3 year warranty. now i have 2 of the regular 1500 single power button/light (power light burns out) models that are showing a charging F02 error. havent had time to see if a new set of batteries will revive them or not.
this APC 1500 model back in 2017 i paid $126 each, then last year I paid $138 each. Now will be paying $144 each. see the trend on inflation?
Edit: LFP actually beat leads by 3:1 per Wh per cycles. Leads only win out on initial price but their cycle life and DoD are garbage. I'm surprised places like CA haven't banned lead acid UPS's.
UPS's don't need much inrush current. It's not jump starting a car. LFP are more than capable of supporting the levels needed for UPS's.
Edit:
Do you know if the unit turns back on after power is restored? I read somewhere that there was a model that requires you to press it back on. Not sure if it was this or one of those "generator" type batteries.
Don't smoke crack kids.

Is there change in the market for Solar generators to act as UPS now?
In extended power outage I hook up my UPS to my Solar generators to keep it going a bit longer.
Also the portable generators are great to hook up to garage openers during power loss.

I cut down the charge watts to just above system use and this keeps the fan from ever coming on, I also set min and max charge to 20%-95% with the theory that it would be kinder to the battery and I could run to 0 in emergencies only.
With the APC I would get about an hour of runtime on a 100W use and the Ecoflow, over 2 hours.
The APC batteries will last a couple years ( have a lot of experience with this ) I hope to push the Ecoflow to a decade but have no long term experience to confirm.
The Ecoflow also supports DC and solar charging, seems an easy decision although the APC has higher total load capability and many more outlets.
I do use an SLA powered UPS and line conditioner on my AV equipment as it can be more sensitive to line noise, haven't tested the Ecoflow there. But for PC use, alarm clocks, cpap, router and other network gear, I am sticking with LFP from now on.
My next project is to put one in the utility closet to power the gas furnace and I also plan to work out one for the tankless bass water heater.
These are projects I would not consider for a short life span SLA, but the promise of long life LFP has me interested in adding small point of use LFP as a stop gap measure to keep things running in an extended outage until I manage to eventually install a full house system ( which would also be LFP unless another technological come in with a better price/performance combo )
CyberPower 1500VA/900Watts Simulated Sine Wave UPS Battery Backup with Surge Protection | Costco
though I can't tell if the Costco one has replaceable battery.
I have a few of this exact UPS, with servers, gaming PCs, networking hardware, and plenty more on them. Zero problems, zero need for silly sine wave undercoating. There's no reason to hold out for something that costs more and delivers absolutely no additional value, just get this.
Then after all 15-30 mins of battery runtime. Your UPS is out of power, NAS/PC what whatever get power off, bye bye harddrive data
Instead, wait for Cyberpower deal, the Cyberpower power panel software is supporting notification.
And doesn't matter at all for 99.99% of the time when the unit is running off utility power anyway.

Red this too. https://www.dell.com/community/Al...p/8020938/ started building electronics in 1968, radios in 70. And TV's then computers in the 90's.

Lifepo4 the size of car batteries and larger will have the instantaneous wattage able to handle a 600-800 watt load like an SLA, but the size of the SLA and lifepo4 are going to be drastically different.
