The Warriors game can be purchased separately [amazon.com] too, same with the Dragon Queen book [amazon.com], and if this Deluxe set uses the same board game box, that box is too small for the DnD book, so that one Amazon reviewer "Does not have the book" may have gotten Amazon error if the book was not packed in the shipment, or maybe it was shipped separately, as Amazon does sometimes.
To clarify, it looks like the Warriors box includes 2 booklets for rules and scenarios, and the Dragon Queen book is a separate book, but the Dragon Queen book also has 6 scenarios for use with Warriors.
As for the price...ehhhh. That board game should probably MSRP $60 tops, with sales at $40-50 (and the Deluxe set should probably MSRP $100 tops, with sale at $80), but this set comes with that exclusive DM screen and the alt cover for the Dragon Queen book. But other Amazon reviewers already noted that the board game probably doesn't add much that a reasonably-creative DM can't whip up with homebrew rules, so if the screen and alt cover isn't desired, just get the Dragon Queen book.
I mean I guess this might also be marketed at new DMs who came from the two Starter boxes and might want to expand into a more epic battlefield vibe without having to do too much homework to set up and run the battles.

This set is the Dragonlance module, a DM screen, and the 'Warriors of Krynn' board game.
That being said, I would agree that if someone is wanting to get into D&D, this set isn't what they should be buying.
