Definitely buy the battery-less ones. The ones with batteries do not turn off anytime soon after you park your car. My phone was staying connected to it at home like 5 hours after we parked the car in the garage. All the notifications were silently swallowed. Returned it and bought a model very similar to the one in the post. No issues at all since then.

Absolutely right! These are fairly standard prices and definitely not a "deal". It's a shame how much SD has devolved from its glory days where users (not staff) would post actual good deals.

Prices seemed normal. I bought the usb BT rxr, using in car for almost 6 months and had no issues so far. Didnt want the battery one as this one is instant, as soon as car starts it connect and auto play songs with phone.

I bought the first one a few weeks back. It works well. Two small issues:
1) when I turn the car on, the device states "power on". Kinda annoying.
2) the volume is low and I have to turn the stereo volume up. Can be an issue when the audio source is switched to the radio.

All in all, the device is good. I'm buying another for this price. Thanks OP, rep'd.

So this can substitute for Bluetooth capability as provided by the fm transmitter style lighter plug Bluetooth devices and goes directly through the 3.5 port to any stereo with that input? What powers it, juice from the port?

songs are fine. When I make calls, there is a background noise.. is there a way to avoid that? Do you have that problem,?

These are all USB powered. The one in the thumbnail is basically a usb drive with a headphone plug cord coming off of it.

You need a "ground loop isolator" to avoid the noise issue or a separate power source that doesn't share ground with the car (for example an USB power bank). I've run into this issue on similar Bluetooth adapters that draw power from the car's USB or 12V port. The ground loop isolator gets rid of the noise every time.

I purchased the Transmitter and Receiver 2 in 1 because I have a variety of handheld gaming systems, and I wanted to connect my favorite bluetooth headphones to them. Some support bluetooth, others don't. It's easier to just have one thing to connect to, then I plug it into the thing I want to listen to.

I've used the USB > 3.5mm to connect my phone to my car's aux for a few years and it has never failed me. Not sure about the price, but it is quality from my experience.
