A solid, if not great game, IMO. It felt like "A Link to the Past with vampires" when it came out, and 15 years later, I still feel about the same.

Where it excelled was in laying the groundwork with its rich world and characters for its much-improved sequels.

VAE VICTUS! Gosh this game was mindblowing when it first came out. Everything about it was fantastic. Story, combat, interesting systems.

I haven't played it in a long time, so it's probably kind of dated. Def worth a buck though!

Been on my wishlist since I joined Gog and just the price I been waiting for. As for this one, I only played the ps one version and I only beat it in part to get the lore for the other games I don't think I would have stuck with it and finished it otherwise. I'll play it again though and do a run through of the whole series again.

Loved this game back in the PS1 days, but cant imagine it holds up. May have to try it again though, high nostalgia factor for me on this one.

Thanks!!! I've played this through ages ago on the PC... but never played the soul reavers. Remembered a friend of mine with a PS1 always played it. For .97 each seems like a no brainer.

Do GOG games work on the Steam Deck? I think I can use Lumera or some launcher like that, right?

Edit: Yes they can work and through Lutris, not Lumera. I've been playing too much Fire Emblem lol

Has anyone from the Soul Reaver community pestered you yet to see if you have any un-dumped alpha builds to contribute to https://thelostworlds.net/ collection? I think fans are still holding out hope that there might be one floating out there with The Mountain Retreat/Kain's Throne Room that was seen in a few magazine screenshots with textures. Last I checked, all of the known alphas are untextured, and the area was dummied out by the time of the beta.

EDIT: My last memory of it was this video [youtube.com]. I dunno if the community has made any other big findings since then.
