While these may make for a cheap toy or gift, don't expect to buy these if you plan on reselling them. Lightyear and the licensed toys were a major flop. Of all the toy sections at Walmart and Target throughout the holiday season, there was one section that was consistently fully stocked and neatly organized (indicating little interest by prospective buyers or inventory movement) - the Lightyear section. Not surprisingly, you're seeing Lightyear universally cleared at retailers at the moment. Also note that this is actually a fairly small item.

Unless you know the recipient likes Lightyear, there's a high likelihood this toy will be of little interest to them. Far better options include Super Mario (new movie releases in April) and Sonic the Hedgehog (new animated series released) figures, playsets and their associated remote control vehicles.

There is another model XL-02 & Buzz in the selection that's a few cents less and available, if someone's not particular about the posted model.. could go with that too.. I bought a few of each to give away as return gifts to kids.
