I'm confused, this seems like the opposite of what people would typically need, which is one male to two female??

This sends a signal from one device, such as a music player, to two others. Or receives two signals on one device, such as a headphone. Note that such connections can introduce interference or lower volumes, especially if both input devices are powered at the same time.

But, you'll need another male-to-male cable to connect the single device, which could introduce other signal issues. This is an impracticable design for most equipment-connection applications that need 2 males to 1 male.

"Impracti-cable"? Was that intentional? Regardless, it's funny!😁

It's an obscure adapter cable that would rarely be needed. They likely sell very few of these.

Is it good? For anyone has not seen it yet, if you have a laptop or desktop especially Dell Alienware Aurora, you have 2 separate female for for microphone and headphone on your case. You also have a headset with microphone combine in 1 male 3.5 jack. You actually need this.

It's likely a decent quality cable. These aren't that expensive to begin with. Buy an extra one (or two) if you're concerned.
