eta: couldn't adjust via chat since my purchase was in-store. And, since S/N is attached to receipt, I'm anticipating extra effort in this partial refund.
Review / Thoughts?

Personally, this was a questionable keep. Subwoofer is welcome addition to any TV speaker, but this setup (3.1.2) is lacking in midrange that I'm used to hearing from the 55" TV's built-ins.
But, at $100, it's a keeper and I'm throwing out all rights to complain.
I've got a Hisense Roku TV and the hookup could not have been simpler (unless this purchase included a technician to do it for me /joke).

I have one of the best rated soundbar from vizio, but I still have the same problem. If you are in the soundbar market, you have to deal with this issue
Absolutely not! In fact depending on the TV the speaker may not detect Atmos even though TV supports the output.
I have this now more than a year and its attached to Samsung TV. After 7 months, it stopped detecting Atmos. Tried with customer service but nothing. So now I play by changing the max sound output to dolby Surround in Tv settings thus playing atmos files as normal surround. Then it works.
Other than that, one more problem is that time to time it doesn't produce sound even if hdmi wire is connected. I just have to unplug all the wires and replug. Then it starts working. This happens usually when the TV is not turned on for a while.
