You actually don't have to trade anything in. You basically walk up to their signage and scan the QR code with the Target app. For Target app first time the users, you will have to create a profile. To bring up the coupon to use it's saved in your "Wallet" > "Saved Offers" of the Target app. Scan it during check out. This was not obvious when I did this last year. I kept scanning the QR code and there were no additional instructions on the signage.

Also one more tip is to create baby registry and new profile with bday that falls during the redemption time for another 15% plus 5% off

not sure if you can create wedding registry as well for additional 15%

generally they all stack together for atleast 40-50%. off .. else it ain't a slickdeal

Even if it's a marketing tactic to get people keep buying new baby car seats, in a serious car accident, most parents don't want to second guess that it was their fault for skimping for an old compromised seat that ultimately caused their precious little bundle(s) to have lifelong injuries and/or die.
Under the cover, carseats are generally made of syrofoam (like styrofoam coolers). In accidents, they save the child but they crack or become weakened/deformed, so they dont protect as well. They also can become brittle with age and not protect as well.

Bottom line: you want a good carseat that is not expired and has not been in an accident. It is too important.

I think you have to go into wallet section and scroll at the top until you see the 20% off offer and then add it to your wallet

After scanning the code, it takes a while (20-30mins?) but after that all eligible items show 20% off in item description page with a + sign. You need to click that and then 'save offer'. Now it should show the discount in cart when checking out. Saved me good money on travel system. Thanks OP and SensiblePenguin6669 !

you are right. In addition, Target made sure they jacked up the price by 20% before they offered 20% off coupon. Target basically gets your old car seat for free and throws it away after you drop them off. Win win situation.

The car seat I've been wanting to purchase (Graco slim fit) was $219 and I'd still similarly priced elsewhere. It's now on sale for $175 and is $133 after the 20% off and the extra 5% off Graco. Seems like a great deal.

i was looking for a travel system which was $300+ on amazon. Target had it for ~$250, with this coupon it made it more than $100 off amazon price !

Register for baby registry in Target and you will get extra 15%. I got it for $118 today.
Just FYI, 5% will not be applied

Got a Stokke high chair, the natural color was already sold out, and it looks like the other colors are quickly selling out too. I don't have my baby registry coupon yet but planning on returning and rebuying at the store to get another 15% off.

The median delivery date is 1-4 days after due date. You are more likely to be "late" than "early" but there is of course a distribution.

Brought in a old car seat today with the intention of buying a new booster seat for our kid. Just as we were going to put it in our shopping cart I checked Amazon and found the one we were gonna buy cheaper there. So do your research.
