Just missed out. Was thinking about this for too long. Needed a unit larger than my eb70s but smaller than my ac200max.

I'm not the engineer person, but I have experience with power banks. Unless you get a defective unit you should be able to get 5 good years of usage before noticing a significant drop in capacity. You may even get to 10 years, but the capacity will be drastically reduced, probably down to 20-30%.

It may still power on after 15 years and even have the storage capacity of a cell phone, but that won't be a good use of the limited space in our flying cars Wink

EDIT: Just wanted to add that this estimate assumes that you take basic care of your battery. Don't let it discharge below 10-15%, don't charge it above 90% and don't store it above 60%.
Thanks for the detailed answer, repped!

I received the price adjustment as well. They said there's a 30 day price protection guarantee.

That's always a point of contention. I'd suggest that it's close enough to say this generates ac power from DC power (from solar), much the way a traditional generator creates ac power from gas.

But yes, it's counter intuitive to say generator if it was charged via ac input.
The solar panel is what's generating energy. This thing only stores it. Like a battery.
Quote from yogiyoda :
A better name would be "power station". It stores energy from the wall or solar panels (or gas generator etc) and lets you power different devices with it. Together with solar panels it could be a considered a generator
Power stations generate power. This thing doesn't generate anything. Solar generates power. This thing stores it. It's a battery.

Man I took too long contemplating. This was a great deal, even if battery is lithium ion.

I know I was the person this was asked to but this assessment is really great! It's impossible to give a good answer without knowing the specific cells they use in their system but this is a great estimate!

I am an engineer (a battery one at that), and you are generally correct. The only addition piece of information is that the two biggest factors at wearing your battery quickly is keeping the battery charged above 80%, and putting it in a hot area will rapidly cause its capacity to degrade. Avoid of those two things (as well as charging below 45 F because that also will kill it) will maximize the life of the battery.

And as for cells, they use NCM in their Delta 1 (1008 / 1260 Wh models), Delta Mini and Delta Max. The Delta 2, Delta Pro uses LFP cells.

NVM. I was thinking of Lithium Cobalt Oxide.

Edit: Nvm. It's Friday and I saw the "N" and thought of nickel metal hydride, which is the ooold battery tech 😅.

I purchased mine during the sale but forgot to add one of the codes.

I messaged the ecoflo rep and he sent me an $80 refund bringing my total down to $458 w/taxes shipped to CA

BTW it looks like the sale is live again
