Don't forget applecare + is $219 if you buy it at time of purchase through Costco instead of $279 through apple after the fact.

Alternately we can buy Allstate 3 year coverage at Costco for $99. We have 30 days to buy it

This covers accidental damage too

I saw that and was a little confused. Does that just mean Costco just gives an extra year if you buy from them online no matter what?

Applicable items only.

Through Costco Concierge Services - applicable items are automatically enrolled in an extended warranty up to 2 years from the date of warehouse purchase or date of delivery if the item was purchased online.

I actually bought this in Feb for 1599 when Costco was running their promo ($300 off) but had Costco price match down to 1549 today. And I got AppleCare at the time of purchase. Can't do much better than that.
I debated getting the m2 pro when it was 1799 but that was gone quickly.

Any reviews about this vs little high end 10core (with 1TB )?

I already bought 1TB version few days back from Costco for $1999 but not used yet. So thinking of saving$500 if I switch to this

But not sure is it worth to keep high end or buy this. Any suggestions please? In long term view?

I'm actually windows user but fed up buying $1000+ laptops every 2-3 years as these become dead slow and build quality. I'm thinking of switch to Mac and use parallels to use windows

YMMV deals are also 'factually correct'. That doesn't mean that everyone was able to buy, during a reasonable time frame.
