Agreed. With the prices for magnetic resistance bikes dropping so low, there isn't much point to the low end felt/pressure resistant bikes. Cheap magnetic options are available and some decent entry level ones. Such as, the echelon connect sport on sale at some walmarts for $150.

I'd also say it's worth spending a little more, if you can find a bike with automatic resistance adjustments. You can use the QZ (qdomyos-zwift) app to make most bikes work with the auto resistance, with different fitness apps. You can find the ex3 (or higher models) on sale from echelon, or cheaper pro form models, for 250-400 if you wait. Similar pricing for used on craigslist, Facebook marketplace and offerup, if you can't wait. The prices for these bikes are dropping because of oversupply, wait for the price you like if you can.
Just don't get anything without magnetic resistance at this point. I have a friction resistance the up keep plus inability to quantify my output sucks.
My understanding is the Schwinn IC4, which I think is the same as the Bowflex C6, is a well built bike with all the features of other mid range bikes; besides auto resistance. Which you don't need to use the bike, it's just makes things a little easier. You can use a resistance guide to figure out where you need to be and turn the knob/press the button (depending on the bike) yourself. Here is a guide I found for converting popular bike brands to peloton resistance levels:https://www.treadmillreviewguru.c...een-bikes/. If you want something physical on your bike you can check out Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/search?q=Pel...search_bar. If you want to add auto resist later, https://www.shiftsmarttrainer.com/, the company in that link is working on something. If you want to make your own, https://github.com/doudar/SmartSpin2k/wiki, check out that link. I can't vouch for either, I just found them when I was looking around at options.

If you're looking for one with auto-resistance as a feature, https://github.com/cagnulein/qdom...patibility, this link has a table with a section showing what's compatible with auto resistance and the QZ App. This is the QZ app: https://play.google.com/store/app...n_US&gl=US & https://apps.apple.com/us/app/qz-...1543684531. You will need 2 bluetooth devices to make it work properly.

If you're looking for video reviews, https://www.youtube.com/@TailHappyTV/videos, the guy in this link has a lot of them. You just have to go back a few months, to before he started the E-bike reviews.

I bought the 500 SPX when it was on sale for $148 last year. It's been good so far. My only gripe is the seat and handle bars are really hard to adjust.

I'm in the market to buy a bike. I'm thinking of getting the Schwinn IC4, but I'm waiting for it to go on sale for $500. Do you think this is a good choice? Also, which bike with auto resistance adjustment do you recommend?

Brickseek or other link on the Echelon? I can cover a lot of Walmarts when traveling for work and I always get an SUV or pickup rental.

I disagree with everything the guy said, but he did share a picture of the echelon connect sport at walmart for $150, post #6. https://slickdeals.net/f/16504414-echelon-ex-4s-connect-bike-with-1-year-premier-membership-included-ymmv-249-97
The brickseek is: https://brickseek.com/walmart-inv...=533034706

If you can find the Echelon EX-4s+ with a year free of their fitness app @ a Costco near you for $250, that's an amazing deal. (from the link posted)
