How is this in comparison to steaming the hotel bathroom for about 10 mins?

Way, way more effective. I don't even iron things anymore, I just steam them.

I like the Electrolux brand but I think they just licensed the name to some cheap manufacturer in China or something for this one. There are a bunch that look exactly the same on amazon with lots of unknown brand names.

Is that basically dry cleaning or is that a different thing

Entirely different stuff, although this can kill bugs and some bacterias, it's purpose it's to remove wrinkles, not to clean. Also, dry cleaning is not really dry at all, requires liquids, just not water.

10% one star reviews with people mentioning it breaks after only a few uses. Not sure it's worth the risk at $28, unless you need one for a trip that's within the return window.

For some reason I see TONS of similar handheld fabric steamers almost at every garage/tag/estate sale I go for like $1. While purely anecdotal, it's usually a sign that it's not as practical as people think it is.

Just my 2c

I see tons of bikes and power tools at garage sales. Must mean that bikes and power tools just aren't useful.

A hotel I stayed at only had steamers, I was cursing them for 3 straight hours because it was such a POS. If I need to travel with any clothes gadget, I'd prefer a mini iron.

It's similar to the one I've been looking at but has less reviews. Can anyone compare with this product?

I ended up with this one because it's kind of a steamer and iron in one... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089DD62DW/

It works well, I've taken it on a few trips. It's also small so it doesn't take up much space.

Just a heads up, this is not 110-220v so not suitable for international travel.

Don't do it. Nothing beats the heaviness of a normal iron in getting out wrinkles.
