Isn't this a better buy at $279.00 with the top cover? Or is this basically for those who don't want/need the cover and prefer the front shelf attachment?
I already own the Walmart one. Which leads to my next question - does anyone have a hinged cover for the 36" griddle they would recommend? Most of the stuff I come across looks like thin sheet metal with a heat resistant powder coating. I was hoping to find something with a thicker material. Suggestions would be much appreciated!
Love my Blackstone and can't recommend them enough.

Fckkk. Do I really want to buy this??? Already have Weber gas grill, small charcoal grill, and pellet smoker in the medium size yard. Sighhh
Each one has a purpose. I have a Weber Q, a Traeger something something, a Weber kettle and one of these I got at the end of the season for a steal ($197 no lid). I plan to do fried rice and smash burgers this summer on it.
Of all of my outdoor gadgets I use the gas grill the least, and the pellet grill the most.
Picked up the 36" Walmart hard cover deal recently. I've been using it daily for breakfast and dinner.
Fysa, the official slip cover feels like good quality, and the natural gas conversion was a breeze. If I had to complain, the knobs are a bit wiggly and the conditioner is a bit expensive.

What's the difference between this one and the one below? Yours is an original price of $499 but this one is $327.
Believe or not I have downsized and I'm strongly considering purchasing this. Even though I bought griddles for the bullseye and another one, I still feel like I need a blackstone and am missing out on something great.

For those that have a gas grill, a pellet and a black stone (I have the first two). Is there any reason to not just get a flat top griddle for my Weber and save cash and patio space? I was contemplating replacing my Weber with a black stone, but it's encased in stone so I'm stuck with the 36". But then it occurred to me that I could just replace one side with a flat top for $140 and I'd have the same thing.

Not lugging out the griddle everytime. Easier cleaning. 140 plus half your grill taken up. When for another 140 you have the best of both worlds
On my last deal for one of these (similar), there were misaligned holes; rust and peeling in a few spots within a month even though covered; and missing screws. They are supposed to be sending screws, a lid, and a base. The screws and one of the other parts they had said were sent out, and the last part they said they are waiting on to get in stock. That was about a year ago. I've contacted them once every 2 months or so and they say the same thing, lol.

You can get an insert for the entire grill, not cheap though.

Ive got the hinged lid. It is a thin metal. I think it helps protect my griddle from the weather and when open blocks grease from getting on the wall behind the blackstone. The hinge is nice you dont have to set down the lid somewhere. However for cooking im not sure it adds much functionality.

How does the griddle in the weber manage grease? That and size might be the two distinctive features of a blackstone

Just a note the lid is kind of flimsy and is more for protecting the griddle from rain etc.
There are some 3rd party sellers that custom make covers for these which are better.
I wouldn't necessarily say this price is a "slick deal"
