Most modern outlets have a tab that can be removed to allow the top or bottom to be connected to a different circuit. My kitchen is wired with the tops off all outlets on one breaker with the bottom on a separate breaker.
Bought one last year for about the same price. Don't have any problems so far. Used for a coffee machine and a grinder. Haven't tested it using heavy duty electronics.
Bought two sometime last year, one nice thing about these is that as far as I can tell it's actually two 3 to 1 socket splitters as opposed to 1 to 6, which is probably slightly better in the long term.

It looks like Home Depot has a sooner shipping date if ordering from Amazon will take too long.

If your top and bottom plugs are on different circuits, so would these be also. Would be nice if it had a center screw for non-Decora outlets.

Nice for stability in the socket, but no real bearing on wear or safety. Unless you have a weird or very high end electric distribution system all the power still comes in through the same wiring/circuit, regardless of socket(s) used

I've never come across a wall outlet that is sourced from two distinct breakers. Typically the two plugs are internally connected so you can't connect two different circuits into one outlet.

At least one of the outlets in my gf's duplex is like this. Top outlet is switched. Bottom is power all the time. The plates were loose in the receptacle so I replaced it for her. Didn't realize it was on 2 circuits until things weren't working correctly after replacing it(switch no longer turned the lamp on that was plugged in). Noticed the piece connecting the top and bottom outlets was removed on the old receptacle. Matched the new one and everything was back to as she had it. I might check with her to see if she thinks she would need 3 outlets on the switch instead of one.

There are definitely outlets with disconnect option - probably most of them. Usually used to have one outlet in pair to be switch controlled for a floor lamp.
Wiring two separate circuits would be exotic, if legal.
