I don't think this is a great deal when the iphone 11 can be had for as low as $60 from Metro PCS, that's with 1 month service included and you wait 6 months instead of 12 for unlocking.

I was able to add the phone and $15 plan by going to phone buy page selecting color and clicking check availability. Then before choosing a plan open new tab and BYOP (https://my.boostmobile.com/shop/buy/plans/) with $15 plan and click Choose Plan. Total (before tax) in cart $214.99.

Can I just get the phone + 1 month plan, activate and immediately use for trade in to get Pixel 7? While considering that I get $400 for trade-in which does not seem to be too worthwhile though.

Why not you would save around $150 on the Pixel.

Opened in 2 separate incognito windows and followed the steps mentioned earlier. Had to give 2-3 attempts and finally worked

If you are ordering a new number, it will come activated at shipping time. If you port in a number, then you will get some additional time. It's usually 30 days with some other carriers, not sure about boost.

Assuming this is T-mobile you are planning to trade in to since you reference $400. If you wait till the fall around Pixel / iPhone launch time, trade-in values will most likely double to 800. There's also a possibility that happens around Mother's Day.
