Pick up this if you want a cheap, reliable and super stable kayak

If you plan to do light fishing of any sort, this one is definitely better. 2 rod holders, foot mount to stabilize while rowing, seemingly thicker material, optional higher seat with the included booster. I sold my k2 and kept this because of the accessories.

Does anyone have any experience with an ASURION 2 Year Sporting Good Protection Plan claim against one of these Kayak's? Considering it as a hedge against the 90 day warranty.
They're a pain to deal with, but stand your ground and they'll reimburse you.

Sea eagle
I used sea eagle pro 3 person for 9 years. Setup es about 10 min. All valves are the same and easy to inflate. Skags are attached no fear of loosing them. I had Intex and just gave it away.. because valves are different and takes longer to inflate and deflate..seat are soft and don't support well.
I had my family of 4 and a large dog and sea eagle was great. Now I am looking for another one kids grewup need one of their own...

This is a great price $73 more but you will not regret

Current price is as of 9 years ago...so I just ordered it..

Do you guys even check the price regularly?
No, $499 is far, far from what it is worth or what the regular price is. It's a $100 kayak that is extremely soft, and you don't have back support at all.
Don't buy one like this. Garbage quality.
camelcamelcamel seems to disagree with the lowest price ever being $125 and lowest post pandemic kayak craze price being $150 at the end of 2022

This is actually a more decent kayak compared to their regular Explorer series(green or yellow), better materials and the seats are better and more firmer. I have the single version of this and a double of the Explorer K2 and the explorer is a pain in the rear, it's going in the garbage.
Had the excursion on lakes, rivers(mind you i do mostly fishing so no big rapids) and even in bay and handled pretty nice and it's sturdy.

It seems the Explorer is also on sale on Amazon, is the Excursion pro so much better for double the money? Consider first time user, just wanting to have some fun on calm lake or river waters just for like 10 time per year...

Probably fine for lakes, can't imagine using an inflatable on a river with rocks/branches, etc
Used this on the river many times. Works just fine. Honestly a little big so it's less fun than a single person for rapids. Works just fine though. Very tough.

Inflatable needs added to the title. Probably why it got reposted.
Major factor. And yes I see the words pump included which are a clue, but come on...for all we know that means a bilge pump for the water you get in it. LMAO

I have this kayak and 3 other higher end inflatables so here's my take after using it after 4 years ago when first launched (get it): it's a very decent paddler IF you go easy on the floor when getting in/out especially in shallow water where one could mash the floor down into rocks/gravel and avoiding getting hung up in the shallows on fast moving rivers. It's a much better paddler in then the Sea Eagle 330 and 370 (had it, poor tracking, wind blows it around) and the Ki/K2 and Sevylors. This tandem tracks MUCH better than the single due to length. If solo paddling, set seat in the middle, add 25+lbs of weight to the bow to keep it planted in the water to avoid paddle wag (left/right) with each stroke. My others are Aire Outfitter (ww kayak), Advanced Elements Expedition Pro, AE Island Voyage, and a generic knockoff of the Aquaglide Dechutes 130. For a sub $200. kayak this Intex is a good kayak at a excellent price. I've had two floor leaks due to punctures, but it was abused and expected. Easy patch job.

Are you sure it was this specific Pro model and not the yellow excursion? I dont recall ever seeing this go as low as $80. thought the lowest was $125...

Had this for 3 years and used it maybe 20-30 times. It's a good value at this price - I think I paid around 230 and was satisfied. Much more durable than their entry level stuff. We frequently had 2 people + 30 lbs dog and gear weighing in around 350 pounds total. It only needed to be patched after 3 years or so with it. Ended up giving it away when we moved because we decided to get paddle boards since we usually did lake/sea stuff and the paddle boards are more convenient to carry and inflate
