Really. Cotton will hold moisture in. There are times when that's ok or even a good thing. There are other times when it can be awful.
If you're just hanging around in a climate controlled home or work environment cotton will likely be great. Don't use it for a base layer for winter clothing though.

This shirt runs large IMO. I'm normally a medium, and even after washing, this fit like a large to me.
