You could say that about almost any online retailer not named Amazon, but I've ordered many items from Zavvi with zero issues. I don't know why this is always posted when a Zavvi deal comes up.

For what it's worth, I've never had an issue with Zavvi. They have good deals especially for exclusive/collectible items.

You're importing from international, of course there will be issues/delays with shipping and don't even consider returning. That's the price you pay for an import - be sure you're buying what you want to buy

Absolutely. I'm all for supporting Lego, and getting the legit sets... until they start charging hundreds of dollars for them. It's certainly not costing them that much more to make and sell compared to a $16 300 piece set.

People seem to fall into a "price per brick" fallacy to justify the high prices, but the cost of making plastic bricks is hardly the deciding factor in how Lego sets their prices

It would be interesting to see how much LEGO would sell sets for if a Chinese company did all their design and development work for free and they just had to print bricks.

It's not gonna happen at least not anytime soon. New Lego price is now $449.99. You are not going to see $309.99 ever. I paid $339.99 last October from Zavvi. I believe that's the lowest it's ever been.

My 11 year old son have every larger Technic except for the 42056 Porsche GT3 RS which was retired before he was in to them. Second hand they are going close to $1000 if not more. Bought from a trusted Chinese website for $90 shipped. It's a 100% clone that uses the instructions from the real set. Some complain the gears are a bit rougher, nothing that less than $10 shipped in original gears from brink-link can''t ft. Plus they have some sets not available here.

Most of these bricks are the same since the original 42056 Porsche GT3 RS. There are a few new one for each sett but it's not much. Lego is raping us with these prices. Also the Chinese have many kits Lego does not have and they are just as good and considerably less expensive at maybe 1/4 the price of Lego.
