Ethernet is critical for business use. Printers have to be up 100%. CC terminals. VoIP phone lines, servers, etc. Wireless is fine for home use or wherever 100% up time is unnecessary, but not so in business.
Do a speed test comparing wifi vs LAN.
In my case, I have google fiber at home, getting 240Mbps on wifi and about 940Mbps on Ethernet using a cat5e cable connected to a 20$ switch.
It's always best to have wired network where it permits for stability and speed compared to wireless network.

That's a super good deal.... sadly I can't think of a single use for it in 2023... everything is wireless now. I guess some people might still need hardlines....

If these were all white, I would buy them. I use 3 50 foot cat5e cables to connect to my computers which are not in the same room as my router.

These are 30AWG vs. the 24AWG for Regular cat6a - so use with caution on longer lengths. For 10-15Ft these slimruns are preferred. And I've not done a weight test with either one to see which one is strongest to pull inside a home. Some slimruns are 28AWG - but this one is 30AWG - so even thinner and weaker, lighter - but works for same room connectivity and easier to hide.

Probably also questionable for POE devices

I saw this last week as I was looking for something 10Gbe compatible (in other words Cat 6a or Cat 8... Cat 7 is a made-up specification but is usually comparable to Cat 6a... Cat 6 eats more power so I'd rather get Cat 6a to futureproof).

But a) SFP+ is the real way to futureproof as it eats less power and doesn't get hot, and b) these "slimrun" monoprice cables are cheap for a reason: no gold plated contacts to guard against corrosion (recommended in some climates), and 30 AWG = thinner wire than regular 24 or 26 AWG. Less durable and less good for power over ethernet (POE) applications, which even if you don't have now, you may have in the future.

I'll pass on unshielded twisted pair. I don't see a reason to use UTP in your house, its not worth the money you save.

in my home the ONLY time i use wifi is if I cannot run a wire. All computers, tvs/rokus, sonos, hubs, cameras (poe), etc. use Ethernet. If it allows for a wire, I run one. wifi is basically our phones and tablets and when we undock our laptops

30AWG is kind of small. I rather have 26 or 24.
Just my $0.02.
