The kid in me wants this. The adult in me thinks about health care deductible and emergency room costs and life insurance.

60v & two 1000w motors, WOW. I'd be skurred to go 40 on an e-scooter, 36 on the e bike is fast enough.

If you have never done 40 on a scooter do not buy this. Mine does 25 and scares the living crap out of me.

No sure how an 18ah battery will get you 50 miles. Going at this rated speed, likely to get less than 30mikes

Let me help by pointing something out..... this thing goes 40mph ? That's not bike helmet territory anymore, that's motorcycle helmet territory. How about helping another way..... 10 mph slower, that's 30mph crash is equivalent force wise to dropping from a 3 story building. I'm not saying don't get the scooter, but understand that this scooter or a motorcycle, the crash doesn't care what you are on 40mph is 40mph, prepare accordingly. I have a segway max scooter, only goes 18.8mph and at that speed if I fall, it's gonna hurt or worse. 40mph requires motorcycle leathers and motorcycle helmet minimum, no guarantees even then.

50 miles on this most likely they got that figure with a very light adult/kid riding it at something not much faster than jogging speed. They also probably picked a day and direction so they have a tailwind the whole time.

You won't need an ambulance just the coroner bringing a spatula, same as why motorcycle insurance is relatively cheap

💯%

I have ninebot max for commuting to work and it's just enough for my comfort zone with a few oh shit moments here and there. Granted my commuting distance is less than 2 miles away and it only took me less than 10 minutes to my office.

My roommate got the wolf warrior e-scooter (2-1200w motors, 50mph max speed) last black Friday and he got heavy duty riding jacket + mid-level shoei DOT motorcycle helmet for his commute, same distance as mine since we both work at the same place

Anything over 25mph on a scooter is sketchy AF if you're responsible adult over 28 lol.

Is it possible to limit the top speed on these?

i never had a scooter in my life, but can't you just not ride that fast? i mean a tesla can do 160 mph or 0 to 60 in 3 second if i floor it, but it doesn't mean i ever come close to those numbers in daily drive. why no one complains about electrical vehicle been too powerful (or any modern vehicle for that sake) yet everyone screams about electric scooter or bike been too powerful? i don't get the logic here.
