The clock starts when you register the first key to your device(s). I've had some of these Norton keys tucked away for years and then I roll them out as one expires.

Some have said you can contact customer service and have them "stack" codes. I can't confirm how well this works, though.

Also, beware of their auto renewal stuff. The renewal rates are insanely high. I'd look into disabling that the moment you register it.

Is there a time limit to when you have to use this software?

You can ask chat support to add to your existing subscription. I have done this many times. Last time was yesterday.
They will make you activate the new code, then transfer the days to existing one and disable the new code.

I always have at least five 10 user keys on hand. I have a Computer repair / network service so I grab them whenever they are on sale. I resale them to my customers ... for a slight profit. During the pandemic business was slow, I just used a key that I purchased 3 years ago.

Buy them when they are cheap and either chat with support and have them add it to your current subscription or put it in a save place until you need it.

Is this post a joke? Are people actually buying antivirus like Norton in 2023? Please don't, use basic windows defender and ublock origin and you'll be fine.

That's true. I stopped using 3 rd party antivirus software since 2015 (when windows 10 was shipped with built in free antivirus).

Remember when you could just reactivate repeatedly till you used up all the devices, I assume they fixed that loophole

Any links to show how that works? Thanks in advance.

Windows defender is just built in you don't have to do anything.

uBlock origin is a chrome/Firefox addon that works after you install it. You also should get whatever adblocker and popup blocker you prefer and you'll be fine.

If you're really worried you can try Malwarebytes to scan you're PC similar to how Norton does it but it's unnecessary unless you're downloading from sketchy sites.
