I wonder how this compares to the Gram 14, also from Costco? This has the weaker processor, but would you know the difference in daily use, surfing, zoom, typing. Battery life difference with the slower processor, but larger and touch screen? I'm interested because of the larger screen size and primarily the full HD webcam. That was a total miss, putting a 720p webcam on the Gram 14

They nerfed the webcam on the Costco version of the Gram 14. Buy it elsewhere and it has Full HD.

I hope that this is not a trend for Costco, offering trade in deals in lieu of not so great laptop prices. I hope the $100 more is not to make up for the trade in portion.

i will hold out for $700+shipping and tax. I hope others will also.

I got this and traded in an absolute piece of junk 4.5-year-old ASUS with two broken hinges and duct tape holding the hinges on. Still worked ok otherwise, but the hinges were broken and the touchpad no longer worked. They still gave me a $300 trade-in bonus, so my out-the-door was $499 after the trade-in. I probably couldn't get $100 on eBay for the other computer so it worked out well.
