Except, TSR 700 is considered a costco badged V6A. Their manual and firmware is also same.

They usually do that on the first order to prevent fraud. Adorama (and BandH) are very reputable in the photography and videography community. Any subsequent orders doesn't require that kind of verification.

I tried to order the A6A model last time but unfortunately this retailer told me my credit card didn't pass "verification" whatever that means, despite it showing processed as pending by the credit card company at the time. They sent an email wanting me to call them. I just cancelled the order instead. There was nothing wrong with my payment method there is something wrong with how they do business. Google searches revealed lots of people having same issue with this company. Suggest you buy from better retailer.

I've ordered lots from Adorama, never had an issue. I guess YMMV.
