This is in generalities, there's a lot of overlap between the two. I haven't actually looked at the products.
Tow strap:
Generally more rigid material (incl tow chains)
Generally lower maximum strength, static loads such as towing requires little dynamic strength
Some include metal clips that can become projectiles
Recovery straps:
Material usually has some stretch/give to reduce immediate loading on the strap (getting a small run up when trying to dislodge something)
Generally have a much higher dynamic lbs rating
Generally metal free or intended for use with shackles
edit: looking at the product page, they look fine for light duty. I keep something similar in my van along with shackles just Incase I ever get stuck in mud while camping so someone can unstuck me. if you do legit offroading get better.
You can still slow pull a vehicle out of a ditch with this, it's just harder to do. This is absolutely better then not having anything. If your car breaks down and you need a quick tow, this is a great option.
With a kinetic strap you can actually get a vehicle out of a ditch that is larger then the tow vehicle.
Think it could handle a big toe or we talking the smaller toes only?
If you want to see what a kinetic rope can do, watch Matt's Off-road Recovery on YouTube.

Almost all of the deals posted are by staff now and seem extra shilly.

Better off with this one imo…
Generally speaking, you want something that will 'let go' and stretch out rather than snap. Kinetic ropes usually do this by having multiple tensile layers (and a safety jacket) that keeps it from snapping back like a bungee.

I've got an off brand similar to this with the same rating and I've tugged on it really hard and it's held. I pulled a Jeep out of the snow bank with a Golf R (that's a lot bigger/heavier than I am so I jerked it good a couple times and it held up). Mine is Huhu brand but similar off brand stuff. I'm in for 2 more. One longer one and one as a gift.
