Not a fan of these sets boasting "270 pieces" when 137 of the 270 are Allen wrenches and bits

I'm a fan of Husky tools. They're on par with the old school Craftsman (better than the current version), and HD's lifetime warranty is as simple as "I broke a tool- take it to the counter and they'll give you a new equivelent one."

Personally I don't like the cobalt warranty and Lowe's process to swap out a broken tool

Yep. They'll grab one of the shelf for you. Same with screw drivers, hammers...anything broken.

I'm going with this Husky set because HD applies the veteran discount on this item. I didn't get an in-cart reduction on the kobalt set.

Project Farm tests rated the ratchets as roughly equivalent. Kobalt head was a little bigger and the Husky was easier to accidentally knock into the wrong direction.

Was reviewing a YouTuber vid that said this set inflates the number of pieces sold by increasing the bits and Allen wrenches provided while decreasing the sockets (vs their older lines). I decided not to buy it bc I'm after the sockets and not the other items. Might be a decent deal if you don't have the bits and Allen wrenches.
