Sadly everything was half price two years ago. I go to the store and see a bag of chips selling for $5-6 that used to be $2.50 2 years ago and I cry a little.

They also don't sell Southwire. Theirs is some other brand and that's still $124 before a mail in 11% rebate that expires tomorrow, AND it is only available in stores.

Where's the deals on 12/2? No reason prices should be this high. Sad part is, they're never coming back to $70 a roll like it was 2 years ago. But, it's supply chain issues right? That's the new excuse that will last a decade. I don't blame contractors or companies though. May as well stick it to those willing to pay outrageous prices.

Thanks for the link, it shows $99 for me but I wouldn't touch UF unless it's required for a wet application, miserable stuff to pull and strip compared to NM.

Agree 100%. It's a bear to work with. I've got a 100' roll of 12/2 UF waiting in the wings for the spring thaw to run wire for some outdoor applications, and I am NOT looking forward to it, lol.

What's sad is that two years ago I purchased a 250 ft. roll of 12/2 of $72. 14/2 was cheaper.

They used to be loose on the shelves at Lowes and Home Depot, now they are kept in a locked cage....

I used to hate to use it as well until I got a stripper and it solved my problems........wire stripper that is that's capable of stripping whole wire BUT it does have to be straight at the spot where it gets cleaned off and end is not bigger than 6-8" otherwise it's harder: https://www.lowes.com/pd/IDEAL-ID...5000246011
