I think those deals are by adding a new line and port, not just a port.

I had ported out two paid lines end of last year that I moved back with this add a line / port promotion and each line can get $730 off iPhone 13 series, making the base iPhone 13 free. No trade-ins needed.

Can I get this deal without a line. Or if I can add it to my friend and family basic plan? For how long I need to keep the line for unlocking? I want to take it to India . Trying to understand how much it's going to cost me?
