This ensures the safety of mankind by locking your mother in the basement. Additionally, this allows people with more money than brains to chat about how they just spent money on something that they have no idea what its for or any use for it at all! Agreed. I've had the brushed nickel one for almost 6 months now and it is still on the same set of batteries.
I was a locksmith for 10 years. A deadbolt is a must on exterior doors. Knobs have latches that can be easily jimmied, while deadbolts once latched the bolt won't retract back "deadbolted." If you have a deadbolt you don't really need a locking knob or lever. You can use a passage knob/lever or entry thumb trim with the deadbolt on top.
