I'm old enough to remember when this was the everyday price.

$10 for 8 pieces of chicken. Good lord.
That's about the price you'd pay for a raw chicken, plus the gas to cook it and the seasons you put on it, so it works out the same?

Don't feel bad for them. Any time I've tried to offer suggestions to other people in line or give away a spare coupon, the people look down their nose at me.
I used to do/tried that at SixFlags MM. 50% off food with the highest membership. Some people were thankful. But others (with up to $200) didn't accept it or even said I was trying to scam them (even though cashiers told them I was correct).

Only reason I know about this deal is because I downloaded The KFC app to see the price of the double down. I noticed this deal, and assumed it's a constant everyday deal. As I said, this was weeks ago, and many people have had the chance to put this on slickdeals. I myself haven't been to kfc in 15 years, so I can't gauge was is a deal or not. I don't post deals that are common knowledge 🤷 . Also, I don't see this site as a community because it is owned by a big corporation that uses people's time for free crowdsourcing. They profit off our time finding deals so i dont really post on here anymore. If this page was on reddit or somewhere much less corporate, it would be an actual community.
Tell me, how is Slickdeals going to profit off a post about KFC? They get no affiliate revenue for it and I have no problem with SD making money in general as they have staff and overhead that costs a fortune. They are a business, not a charity. Do you work for free? Ever worked for a large or medium sized company?

As for 'common knowledge', obviously this deal was not CK, you make assumptions and decisions based on your own flawed view of the situation. You seem to visit the site often enough to know all kinds of restaurant 'app' offers get posted, from free french fries at BK to $1 iced coffee at Dunkin' Donuts. As for 'many people have had the chance' well they didn't but the same 'many people' aren't belittling other people for not knowing about it either and their lies my issue with your post and explanation. Next time, just say thanks for sharing a deal that 1000's have already found useful in the 12+ hours this thread has been up, no need to proclaim your superiority in having known about it but thought it wasn't worth sharing or if it was a good deal or not..

My local subway operator says those deals are crushing him. Corporate doesn't care because they sell him the ingredients and basically give them away at cost leaving him just the chips and drinks for profit.
Look up all the critiques of Subway on YouTube. They're either screwed by or screw others in the same chain.

1. Ah, if they only ran it like kfc Japan with all their special seasonal flavors like honey sesame. So yummy.
(Oddly, their slaw sucks over there - barely any sweetness.)

2. Church's! Yum!

Your local subway operator should stay in his lane. Those deals are driving people into his store who otherwise wouldn't even walk in the door. He's lucky to get their soda money.

… which are typically the high profit margin products. Just like how gas stations make a killing on chips and soda.
