Guess I blew it by not posting this, several weeks back when I got the news. Good price for KFC, but Kroger fried chicken is a better deal and very tasty. I may grab some KFC while this deal lasts. It's been a minute.

The one near our house has been awful for 25 years. They hardly ever had chicken available and if they did it was a 30 to 45 minute wait.

Popeyes came in near us and that was the last straw for our KFC & the one a few miles away.

KFC as a public company has already given up on the US, whose customers do not demand new food innovation. All its efforts are focused overseas. That's why the only thing we see in the US is 'deals' and cost cutting. KFC will not likely regain 1st place in the US and slowly fade into irrelevance unless they can shift their mindset.

Popeye's is VASTLY superior in every way.

Also if you have a Jollibee near you I will tell you to go now and get the spicy and the Jollibee spicy chicken sandwich is better than any of these other chains spicy chicken sandwich.

Well they seem to have found a way to slice their meat even thinner, just the cost of doing business. I hope the owners banked all that money that was coming in when Jared was their sponsor. They only have like one or two people working at the ones I used to frequent. So Subway has moved to the movie theatre business model, I think they making more bank than that, just sounds like another excuse I've heard to not use the coupons, that are nationally advertised like every other fast food franchise does.

Not surprisingly, I have heard that international KFC are doing much better. The cost of chicken must be cheaper because to pay what KFC asks is highway robbery. Even their "deals" are 25-40% higher than Popeyes. Of course, if they really use 11 herbs and spices, it is more expensive than Popeyes. White pepper alone is way more pricey than chili powder.

KFC tenders used to be on par with Popeyes, but I guess they've changed . The garbage they gave me a few days ago could not pass for tenders or food. I've not been to KFC in a year or two, so I was shocked. From those lovey, crispy, golden, real chicken tenders to the flat, dark, tear drop crap that comes in a huge sack from Walmart. Literally garbage I wouldn't feed to my neighbor's dog.
