I guarantee if you surveyed 100 people, only 1 or 2 would pick your supermarket. Supermarket chickens are small and gross.
Lol, wut. Okay, okay, I realize every supermarket is different, but every 8-piece order of supermarket chicken I've ever seen is easily half again bigger than an 8-piece order from KFC. Only one or two would pick the supermarket? If you find yourself around Chicago, go scope out the lines of people buying fried chicken at any supermarket around lunchtime, and then compare that to the ghost town that is any nearby KFC.

Grocery store chickens are now tiny and have a metallic taste. KFC is a millions times better and they all know it. They are just trolls that enjoy buying overpriced chips/snacks to go along with their tiny and gross chickens.
Okay, you have got to let us know what the heck supermarket you're shopping at so we can all avoid this horrible chicken.

My local KFC honored the promo, but made us wait 45 mins after the scheduled pick up time for the 2x orders to be ready and messed up the order when we ordered dark meat only.

There's been numerous comments here re: price fluctuations. I can understand that franchises may need to increase the price (emphasis on "may", since they benefit from the additional traffic that the ads create for them) but give me a break! I have multiple locations in my area (Queens, NY). Here's what I found. A local standalone location (likely corporate run) has the $10 deal. Yet, a local shopping mall location charges $18 (but still shows it as a "deal")! That's an 80% increase!
Another perfect example. A local Taco Bell location (confirmed to be corporate run) charges the advertised price of $5 for a "My Cravings Box" (an online exclusive). At a local franchise location, it's $10.99! That's more than a 100% increase! This price gouging is outrageous! Is the policy that the franchises can charge anything that they want?? A reasonable increase is (somewhat) acceptable but this most definitely isn't! If you're faced with a similar situation in your area, I'd strongly urge you to contact the executive offices for these corporations and issue a complaint, as there needs to be some controls in place to limit the amount that franchises can charge (especially for nationally advertised promotions)!

That's completely unacceptable! Seems like they may be doing this to discourage customers from ordering this deal. That's speculation on my part but I've waited no more than 10-15 minutes when they ran out and needed to cook fresh chicken, so how do they justify keeping you waiting for 45 mins.?? Anyone that is forced to deal with this abuse should call the executive offices and complain! They'll likely hook you up with a free meal (which is warranted after having to deal with that nonsense!).

This deal is good, but their best deal is when they have the $30 chicken and tenders fillup: 8pc bucket + 8pc tenders, large mash w/gravy, fries, cole slaw + 4 biscuits. They had it when this deal launched but it went away fast.

not really. if you eat everything including the bones and skin, then it could be enough for 2. but a bucket isnt enough for 2, let alone 3.
That's only because KFC chicken pieces are too small!....but not enough for two people? Seriously?

What we're referring to as "good deals" these days (with inflation and price gouging) aren't really good deals!
