Dang brutal review:

Snare lugs are plastic and half of them snapped during a performance!! Yamaha says they have replacement parts, but the lugs alone cost as much as a new snare!! While I do like the overall sound and look of this basic kit, I have never had a lug snap in my 50+ years of drumming. Come on Yamaha, drop the corporate BS and service this customer!!

Amazing kit. Huge step up from the entry level poplar wood kits. Had no issues with the quality at all in the new years I've owned it. Great tone.

Snare lugs are not plastic, lol. I've never heard of a lug snapping, never mind half of them, lol.

A throne, kick pedal, hi-hat stand and cymbals, snare stand, crash & ride cymbals and booms. Oh and drum sticks.

So you'll need hardware like this: https://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-HW-...3BPU&psc=1

Cymbals like these: https://www.amazon.com/Zildjian-P...86TR&psc=1

And throne and drum sticks.

On cymbals, trust me, avoid the Chinese crap cymbals - there are only two brands of good cymbals, Zildjian and Paiste, period!

This is a great price for good quality shells. I would bet the heads are good also. Just fine for a high school gig, bar gig or church gig. Or just a fun good sounding kit to annoy your neighbors.
