Given where the 4tb 5000mb gen 4 are $270 would have been a better idea... imo the 2tb market saturated and many will wait until 8tb gets around $300ish

If I use a M.2 NVME to PCIe 3.0 x4 Adapter for this, are there any performance issues? A hit to Read/write speeds? Only have one m.2 nvme slot on my mobo and was looking to get a couple of these drives.

Yeah if you put it on a 3.0 slot it'll cap out around 3k/3k.
