I personally dont like this brand. Very often doesnt find voltage or the testers are very low quality and die easily. Better off with a Klein tools set.

The company has been in business 60 years, what about the name Gardner Bender (taken from founders last names) would keep them from making money?

What a small mind you have.

I'm looking for a set like this. Is Klein the only good brand?

My dad is an electrician and uses the GFCI outlet tester regularly.

Agreed. Fluke is better in quality, but Klein wins out on price.

I used both for networking and found the Fluke better*, but I couldn't justify the price of the Fluke for what I do.

*The distinction was small, but tended to get a little better results from the Fluke, but both were accurate within 0.5 of a meter on a cable run.

The Klein non contact tester has had issues for me (would not stay on unless I kept removing and reinserting battery). It was a model from a decade ago.

Got a new one which seems to be faring better...but the brand is by no means bulletproof.

Usb tester…that's a new one. I don't know if that is really necessary, a phone charging cable would check the same function.

A plug in charger with wall plug can also check the socket. Lol.

I think it's more for diy projects where one is doing the for USBs from scratch.

Never seen someone get so upset over home repair items.

BTW, GB's "horrible name" appears to be sold in about 15,000 locations. What is your industry footprint in comparison?
