The screen uses SpacialLabs' stereoscopic 3D technology with eye-tracking to turn the screen into some sort of glasses-free 3D 2k display, and it can be turned off to be used as a regular 4k60 display.
They have about 70+ game titles where they've added a depth buffer from the game engine (3D+), and in a few games they've added a 2nd virtual camera into the game for a fuller effect (3D Ultra). You can expect a performance hit with it enabled.
Other features includes being able to watch side-by-side stereoscopic videos without glasses and using "AI-empowered technology" to turn everyday 2D content into 3D, but the target audience of this laptop are 3D creators.

Yeah that and the 4K is only ips, not oled. If it was 4k120, then maybe that is ok, but if it doesn't advertise the 120hz, I seriously doubt it is 120hz screen. Price is meh especially with only 8GB 3080 and also older cpu. Ssd and ram is decent, but lately ssd prices have crashed so nothing to write home about there either. I say if this is closer to $1K price, then maybe...
The screen on this laptop and its associated
Spatiallabs pro software sells separately for more than this price on its own. If you're interested in this tech, having the whole laptop included is just a bonus at this price.
Edit: BTW, if it not being 120hz is a problem for you, you'll probably also be unhappy to hear that it has a rated response time of 30ms... it's not a monitor for esports.
There never has been a rtx 3080 16gb version. The mobile versions always have less video ram.
I've owned a legion 7 pro with an rtx 3080 16gb 😂. When the 3080 laptops first came out I always thought the 8gb version was pointless when you could get a 3070 laptop for much less that performed slightly slower.

Gonna lean towards "meh" on this one with an 8gb cherry on top.
Disagree all you want, bad deal. 8gb of vram is going to perform horribly in both normal and edge cases.
Like the price alone wasn't a red flag already. You can get much better for $1500.
