Really good deal, just wish it came in Bronze fro that price.
I have been switching out the hardware in our house form ugly gold to bronze, and my pocket door are one of the few items left to do.

Nice! We just painted the trim on our doors, and since we never actually close the pocket door, I just painted the edge of that door. I then rednecked it and painted the pocket door latch with a metallic spray paint. But for $5...trashy is turning to classy! Smilie Thanks OP!

I wanted to see how the other side looks, the handle side. Ours is too shallow.

Check user images on Amazon. There is no "handle" on the other side, but rather some flat knob that looks like a coin slot.

Pocket doors are so great. And the way they built the tracks years ago, they last forever. Probably wouldn't be the case with anything built today.

I didn't really need a handle, but you know an opening to pull this open. I have one at home in my bedroom bathroom, and it is very hard to slide because the indent is too shallow and with wet fingers it slips. I wanted to get something that's easier to pull. I'll check the pics. Thanks.

Now they just take easy way and build barn doors.

True. The advantage is the track is easily available. Smilie
But pocket doors always seemed magical to me as a kid.

They are also easy, home depot sells pre-made pocket door frame, as long as you have the room for it, you just take down the wall, use the pocket door frame instead of existing studs, done. Rough job is easy, what's difficult is spackle, paint, trim, etc.. I wanted to replace our pocket door (bedroom bathroom door with large glass, i wanted to make it solid, also cut down the AHEM noise LOL). But anyway, I might just line the glass.
