I am seeing they are like $50 a pair?! Even if the Bosch lasts "Up to 40% longer" than conventional blades, it would make it a terrible value. If one is going to pay like 4x more, it should last 400% longer. Not just "up to 40% longer". There is no way Bosch is lasting far longer to justify the high cost for me.
I can see some people just buying the Bosch wiper blade because of its design and maybe they think it looks cooler than the conventional frame design. I don't care about wiper design.
Safety aspect justifies the cost increase. If you want to put garbage on your car and risk getting into an accident or injured over 40 bucks go ahead. They are highly recommended by practically everyone for a reason. They work and last long.
Safety? You think people can't see out of their windshields with using cheaper brand Anco or Rain-X wipers? You think wipers just suddenly fail and people suddenly can't see out of their windshields. HAHA. It doesn't work that way. They all slowly wear. When you see a streak or two streaks, you simply change them later. You can still see through a streak. You are overthinking the technology of rubber which wipes away water. You want to believe in that "graphite dual blend rubber technology" that last up to 40% and pay 400% higher. Do the math. Spoiler on the wiper to keep the wiper down? HAHA. As if the conventional frame wipers can't keep the wiper down? Funny how the cheaper Rain-X can have 4.6 out of 5 rating with 110K reviews or Anco with 4.4 out of 5 but you think that they are so "unsafe".
You are paying 4 times more for a brand that you think looks cooler with its design. It isn't about far superior performance. Lets be real.

The better wipers will wipe better and last longer and thus have a safety benefit. Plus, replacing wipers are a pain and you want to do it as little as possible. Read reviews across the web. Go to reddit and see what real users say - they unanimously recommend the Bosch wipers. Go to NY times/wirecutter and see what they recommend (The Boschs). It's not complicated.
I can't believe people are taking Amazon reviews seriously in 2023. How can anyone be so naive with everything we know about the legitimacy of Amazon reviews? When put into fakespot, that 4.4 out of 5 for the Ancos equates to 2.5/5 stars using the fakespot adjusted rating (I just checked):

Wipers are a pain? BAHAHAHA!!!!!! Grandmothers can put wipers on a car. God forbid you ever did any real mechanical work. And before you try to pretend like you have, if you did, you would never talk about the difficulty of putting on a wiper blade.
Some things you can skimp on, some things you shouldn't. I used to always skimp on wiper blades cuz I live in the bay area and the last decade has pretty much been one big drought.
Well since the end of last year to now, there has been rainstorm after rainstorm and my cheap blades fell apart within weeks of use. I bought some AERO blades, 2 sets for $17 (comes out to ~$4 a blade) and they work better than the factory ones. I attached a link (please find sizes that fit your car), and they are a perfect combo of quality and value. Hope yall can stop arguing soon, it really is like clockwork how every sd post dissolves into everyone thinking they know best and smug passive aggressive insults. Do better.

You are a marketers dream consumer if you actually believe "safety" reason for spending 10x more on a wiper.

I had these on my car back in the day and I think these are great for the money. Yea they don't last long but if you pick up a few sets, it'll be worth it.

Best blades for the money! Been using them for many many years with zero issues. Highly recommended!
Same here. They're better than a few brands I've bought occasionally throughout the years (definitely did not think Bosch or RainX were a cost effective option - they did not perform any better, in my opinion, probably slightly worse; and cost a lot more). The Anco rubber lasts a longer time than those other brands - you really should change windshield wipers at least annually, but I've made these last for 2 years.
Where you live (weather) might make a difference as to how a given brand performs.

Very little wonder that they work better than your 10-year old OEM ones.
