Edit: The stand doesn't have to look as ugly as it is in the picture. My TV is mounted much lower, and all you can see are the feet. Looks very subtle.

Same for me, but I used the same code on a previous purchase. Love the TV stand and wish I could purchase another at this price!
I'm not sure for others, but I could see picking this up to have the TV higher on my stand for viewing pleasure without mounting it, plus allowing clearance for a sound bar or etc under it.
Watch out for GP barreling down on you tho...
I've mounted 4 TVs in my house and have thought about trashing the stands - instead of keeping them piled up in the basement. I would assume if I did throw away and moved, I might need a replacement stand if I don't mount everything up again
